These old antique asian boxes and chests do come from the ancient capitals of Myanmar
and are approximately from 50 to 150 years old They where used to store the
valuable belongings of the royal family and the abbots of Buddhist monasteries.They are skillfully made from teak wood or other valuable heard wood timbers which is the reason why they are still in good to excellent condition considering the moist climate in Asia.
